This art is masterfully framed in a stunning presentation measuring a substantial 34 ¼” x 29 ¼”. Cohn’s brilliant work is triple matted giving Table Grouping an absolutely fabulous presentation. The unique matting and framing presentation of this piece was individually selected and created by Le Chateau’s renowned master framer, Jeanette Shoenrock. It is truly a marvelous, affordably priced piece by a nationally renowned artist that would be a unique and eye-catching addition to any collection of fine art.
Harold Cohn (1908-1982), was a successful painter, printmaker and teacher working both in Detroit and New Jersey. His work has been exhibited in museums and galleries around the country including, The Detroit Institute of arts (1933-45), The Carnegie Institute (1941&43), The Los Angeles Museum of Art (1945), The Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts (1934), and the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts (1942). During his extensive career, Cohn explored many different elements of contemporary art. These influences can be seen in many of his drawings and paintings; much of his experimentation is thought to be reminiscent of Matisse’s art work. With such a striking comparison, it is no wonder that Cohn has such an extensive auction record.
